Kathleen graduated with Honorable Mention from the De La Salle University-Manila where she earned her double Bachelor of Science degrees in Applied Economics and Accountancy, and was awarded with Best Thesis in Accounting by E&Y / SGV & Co. in 2006 and Best Position Paper in the 3rd Asia-Pacific Young Economists Convention.

Thereafter, she passed the CPA board exam and worked as an Associate Director in the Tax Reporting and Operations Group of E&Y Philippines (SGV & Co.) where she gained significant knowledge and experience in financial statements and government taxes compliance and controls audit, tax return preparation, income tax review, and tax advisory engagements for six (6) years. She handled and led audit engagements for various multinational companies (MNCs), among of which were engaged in the following industries:

Kathleen also worked as a Director for Accounting, Tax and Payroll for more than two (2) years in a business consulting firm assisting foreign investors in starting and doing business in the Philippines. This experience further enhanced her skill and expertise in building and maintaining great client relationships, and helping clients resolve their accounting and tax issues, and identify tax-saving opportunities as a value-adding work for them.

She is a Resource Person at the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) which is the national association for all CPAs in the Philippines playing a big role in upholding the standards and quality of the CPA professional practice. She is also a Writer Contributor to the online publication of the Association of Certified Public Accountants in Public Practice (ACPAPP).

She was recently awarded with a Management Executive Dean's ASEAN Scholarship for a Master's degree in International Taxation and Finance in the UK.
